Introducing API Token Management

API Token management is like being the bouncer at an exclusive club—only the right folks get in. 

 

Proper token management ensures only the VIPs (aka, authorized users) have access, keeping your data safe and the party under control. Plus, it saves you from awkwardly explaining how the neighbor's cat ended up with admin rights.

 

Regrid listened to your security concerns and now delivers more functionality. Here’s what’s  new:

 

  1. Ability to create multiple tokens depending on your projects and use cases
  2. Customize to specific data access depending on your license with Regrid
  3. Ability to rotate API tokens 
  4. Staging development token to build your solution (applicable for enterprise licenses)

Start by logging into your API dashboard. Once you land on the main screen, you’ll see your token access.

 

 

Click on Create a new Token to add a token to your account.

 

 

If you have an enterprise license provisioned for additional datasets like our Matched Building Footprints, Matched Secondary Addresses, Standardized Zoning and/or Enhanced Ownership, you can create tokens with full access or limit the token access for specific datasets.

 

Additionally, you can keep track of all your token usage on the Usage History page. Need to programmatically access the usage? You can use the Usage API Endpoint to do so. You can access your usage in your total account or check out each token individually.
