MEAT IS IMMORAL (controversial billboard on Los Angeles freeway, 2020)

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Photo of controversial billboard (MEAT IS IMMORAL) on Hollywood Freeway in California. It's part of a grassroots activism campaign aimed at educating the world about the immorality of producing and consuming meat in modern society. It directs people to a meat-is-immoral.com website that explains the immorality of meat for (a) animals, (b) climate, and (c) workers. The campaign was initiated by 17 year-old activist, Zoe Rosenberg in 2019. In 2020, cattle ranchers demanded the billboards be taken down which amplified the attention from activists and supporters.
